About This Page
As we all eventually discover, the twists and turns of the roads of life can sometimes take us by surprise; leading us to situations and places we never dreamed of experiencing. When the first words were put on this page way back in 1997, I was not at a place in my life where I thought or hoped I'd be. What does one do to cope when they seem to have lost their way? Some people turn to unhealthy habits and unconventional remedies, but for me, the answer was to "let it all out" - to express myself. Having just purchased a computer, I threw myself into learning all I could about homepage design, and started writing. As a result, this website was born. I'm sure it was not a fluke or a mistake - after all - with God, there are no mistakes. His ways are perfect, and sometimes it just takes a while to understand why certain things happen in our lives. You see, for me, it was actually therapeutic to spend time expressing myself here, and I am delighted that through it, I have been able to touch the lives of others all around the world. Who would have ever guessed?! It has now become my hope, my prayer, my purpose...to give others hope through my faith and stories of both accomplishment and challenge. To everything there is a reason...
Dear Friends and Family...
I want to let everyone know that I have discontinued my "What's the Buzz?" page. The page was previously used to share updates with friends and family and others out there in cyberspace as to what I'm currently doing. While the page was good at allowing many people to see what's happening in my life, it ended up resulting in less personal contact. So, if you want to know how I am, please call or email me and I'd be more than happy to fill you in! Oh...and one more thing...if you miss my updates and wonder what I'm up to, why don't you send me an update of your own! I miss hearing from those friends and relatives that I am not in touch with on a regular basis. You know who you are! I covet your letters!
Life's Journey
Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special. Do not set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you. Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life; for without them, life is meaningless. Do not let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past nor for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live all of the days of your life. Do not give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying. It is a fragile thread that binds us to each other. Do not be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave. Do not shut love out of your life by saying it is impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give love. The fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly. In addition, the best way to keep love is to give it wings. Do not dismiss your dreams. To be without dreams is to be without hope. To be without hope is to be without purpose. Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way. ~anonymous~
